Lasagne for Lunch

If you are looking for lasagne for Lunch at Inch aftre a swim then try this. First  come on over to Aido’s at Annascaul Cafe and Pottery for lunch. Yiu wont be disapointed.  There are so many Lasagne recipes out there. We like the Jamie Oliver and the Happy Pear vegetarian ones. They are easy and not too fussy to make.  Aido’s serves a really good lasagne which is truly delicious. Lasagne is a great way to feed a lot of people!  Our ragu is really good and we make this with beef, pork and lots of vegetables. Our cheese sauce has a smokey texture to it. We also add the traditional nutmeg that we add.

The Vegetarian Lasagne Ingredients

The vegetarian lasagne is made with the following ingredients

1  medium onion
1 piece of garlic
2 tablespoons oil
3 x 400g tins of chopped tomato.

2 teaspoons of thyme leaves
1 bay leaves

salt 1 teaspoon

½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
8 sun-dried tomatoes

Using  Marcaroni the béchamel cheesy sauce

750 ml milk
110g butter or 90ml sunflower
85g plain white
55-65g Cheddar cheese  depending on your preference

1  teaspoon salt,  depending on your preference
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1  teaspoon grated nutmeg

If you don’t eat meat then this lasagne is ideal as it has so many vegetables looks terrific. In fact, veg lasagne is almost nicer than regular. Furthermore it is the perfect meal for those that wish to eat healthily. Lasagna is the ultimate comfort food and an  Italian favorite
