We love the History of the Dingle Peninsula. So much so that we give talks every Friday and Saturday at 6pm during the summer months. Aido’s Annascaul Cafe and Pottery is very happy to have this book in stock. It is a book written by Luke Eastwood where he succinctly put together material and anthologies about  the Dingle peninsula . He refers to folk tales that include  the pre-Christian era of mythology  and magic. He uses interviews and recollections from  local people, ancient books,  and the Dúchas Schools’ Collection

His book rewrites many older well known texts into simpler easy to follow modern English accounts. There is a really easy to follow account of the  The Battle Of Ventry.
