The history issues of Annascaul we will examine
We will examine the importance of the train and how it was viewed in the same light as how we look at the internet today. Consequently everything was so much more accessible. For example people could now travel from the foreign countries so much more readily.
The death of the train passenger service came with the bus services. They introduced these in the 1920s. These buses were faster and less dangerous and dirty.
The history of Annascaul will examine the IRA volunteer commanders. Many of them did not support Ireland entry to World War 1 . They put up anti conscription posters in opposition toi John Redmond’s party. Such a simple opposition statement was treated with contempt by the RIC who had a a barracks in the village.
