Learn how to take a portrait, How do you set up a still life ? Learn more about composition, light and depth of field through a creative workshop atmosphere.

This Photography Class in Annascaul will occur on Saturdays beginning February 19th and finishing on March 5th   over  3  weeks at Annascaul Cafe and Pottery. It pleases us to have  Margaret Kennedy as  instructor for these 3 sessions. Margaret has displayed at Siamsa Tire on several occasions and as well as being a great photographer she is a visual artist also.

Margaret’s photography class will look at creating photo images by and examining light in detail withan image sensor, and will briefly examine light sensitive material such as old fashioned photographic film.
Camera equipment and good lens technology will examine how light reflects and how it emits from objects. She will look at how light affects reflective surfaces of objects

As an Artist and Photographer, she believes her work is a constant inquiry in search of tribe. Thought, traditions, stories, songs, patterns in designs, and mannerisms are all passed down through generations,

Her inquiry involves using many different mediums to express what I see and feel. Therefore, Margaret excavates beyond the features of a portrait. Furthermore, she looks through the individual to harness their tribe, their stories, and historic makeup. Symbolic, marks left by man on stone, left as a way of recording their existence.

Margaret paints , photographs sculpts in clay and carves wood in search of expression. She will endeavor to reflect creativity throughout her class.

Class Price

Class price is 40 Euro. Additionally, we will provide lunch in advance. This will be a great way to meet with your peers and use it as a forum period to discuss how you are progressing
